She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty three years, Oren W Atterberry, her parents, two brothers, William “Bill” Anderson and Gene Anderson and two sisters, Alleta Scher and Lillian Ralston.
Isabelle was a seamstress and enjoyed making clothes and beautiful quilts for her family and friends. She worked at the Tailor Shop in Fort Leonard Wood and later at the H.D. Lee plant in Houston, MO where she eventually retired. She enjoyed her flowers, working in the garden, canning and her morning coffee out on the front porch. Most of all, she treasured the many sleepovers and joyful times with her grandchildren who called her Granny Belle. She accepted the Lord as her Savior early in life and was a faithful member of the Roby Assembly of God Church. She treasured the close relationship she had with her church family.
Isabelle is survived by two step-daughters, Donna McElfresh and husband Harold of Bowling Green, KY and Judy Reid and husband Ronnie of Lebanon, MO; one daughter, Peggy Mainer and husband Tom of Plato, MO; four sons, Gene and wife Cheryl of St. Clair, MO; Lee and wife Diana of Plato, MO; Ronnie and wife Lynn of Plato, MO and Donald of Bucyrus, MO; one brother, James “Ed” Anderson and wife Thelma of Lebanon, MO; three sisters, Juanita Collier of Springfield, MO; Peggy Bowling and Judy Rubles both of Lebanon, MO; fifteen grandchildren, thirty five great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
