Death of a Pioneer

Just after the hour of midnight today the end came to the life of one of the early settlers of this county, Mrs. John Goedeke. Her health had been bad some time and recently her daughter, Mrs. Trav Windham, of Pecos was with her for quite a while. She had reached the age of 77.

The funeral took place this afternoon from the residence of her son, Theo Goedeke, on Elm street, Rev. J. F. Schauf, pastor of the Catholic church officiating To the aged husband and children we tender sympathy.
