Shirley Booth Middleton, age 88, of Bedford, formerly of Center, passed away Monday, July 20th at a Bedford Hospital. She was born November 29, 1920 in Center to Verner Booth and Bess Hill Booth. Ms. Middleton was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Center, where she was also a long-time Sunday school teacher. Ms. Middleton was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, and was a very charitable person. She taught Spanish in Center & Shelbyville, and worked at Middleton Milling for years after the death of her husband Martin.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM, Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, July 23, 2009 at The First Baptist Church in Center with Rev. Carl Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Mike Middleton and wife Brenda of Ft. Worth
Verner Wayne Middleton of San Antonio

Daughter, Alice Joy Canales and husband Homero of Alice.

Grandchildren:
Martin Middleton, Michael Middleton, Mark Middleton, Matthew Middleton, Ron Jones and Allyson Jones.

Great Grandchildren:
Michael Middleton, Brianna Middleton, Kate Jones, Courtney Middleton, Macy Middleton, Hannah Middleton and Micah Middleton
