(Andrew) Jackson Blodgett was a farmer, born about 1833, and living in Caledonia, Vt in 1860. He enlisted in Co I of the 11th Vermont volunteers on August 13, 1862. He died from disease on December 01, 1864, and his body was removed from Frederick, MD and interred in plot 2637 at Antietam National Cemetery. He left behind a widow, Esther Morse Blodgett, nee White and 3 young Children. Vernon Lee was 8 years old, Nora Etta 6, and Jackson Oel just 2.(Civil War widow's pension #66135, Fold#)
