Natrona Heights
Edwin A. Marshall, 86, of Natrona Heights, died Monday, July 6, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot. Mr. Marshall was born March 25, 1923, in Valencia, son of the late J. Norman and Lauretta (Irons) Marshall. He graduated from Tarentum High School Class of 1941. He owned and operated Marshall's Service Station retiring in 1989 after 26 years of service. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge, the Pollock Lodge No. 502, the Scottish Rite of Pittsburgh, the Syria Shrine of Harmar Township and the Tarentum VFW. He was a former president and member of the South Buffalo Township Recreation Association and was a Scout Master of Troop 191. He is survived by his sons, Gary L. (Patty) Marshall, of Natrona Heights, and Mark A. (Shelly) Marshall, of Freeport; two grandchildren, Melissa L. Marshall and Mark A. Marshall Jr.; and one great-granddaughter, Allessandra Marshall. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elizabeth L. (Pilston) Marshall, Dec. 22, 2000; and his granddaughter, Heatherlyn Marshall. Family and friends are invited from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, Natrona Heights, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with his pastor, the Rev. Alyce Weaver Dunn. Private burial will follow at Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
