Mrs. Lillie Gray Is Victim Of Illness

Mrs. Lillie Gray, Trinity route 1 resident, passed away Thursday night at 7:30 o'clock at Benevolent Hospital, following a short illness during which time she underwent an operation. Funeral services were held this afternoon at three o'clock at Caddo, interment being made there, Priest directing. The funeral ceremony was conducted by Rev. Kitchens.

The deceased, a respected woman of the Trinity neighborhood, is survived by her husband, R.J. Gray; one son, Coy Gray; three daughters, Vacie, Julia and Maddine; two brothers, G.W. Gann, of Moulton route 2, and W.R. Gann, of Trinity route 1.

Lillie Jewell Gann Gray was born to John D. Gann and Lizzie Evert Gann on 1 April 1897 in Kaufmam County, Texas. She had three brothers, George W Gann, Edward D Gann and William R Gann. She was the wife of John Richard Gray. Their children are; Madeen Gray Vincent, Versie Gray Anderson, Geneva Gray Smith, Betty Margret Gray Harris and Vernon Gray. They were residents of Route 1, Trinity, Alabama. Mrs. Gray died on 5 July 1928 in Decatur, Morgan County, Alabama. The funeral services at Caddo Cemetery were held on 6 July 1928. She died at age 31.
