Mrs. Geraldine M. "Doll" Johns, age 72, of Chancellor died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Wiregrass Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2009, in the Providence United Methodist Church with Dr. Alvin Sheffield officiating. Burial will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
Mrs. Johns was born Aug. 30, 1936, in Geneva County to the late John Morgan and Annie Merle Vaughn Lawhorn German. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Earl Johns, Chancellor; four sons, Terry and Nancy Johns, Larry and Cindy Johns of Chancellor, Michael and Stephanie Johns, San Diego, Calif., and Mark Johns, Enterprise; three sisters, Sandra Lolley (Charles), Samson, Brenda Simpson (John), Hilton Head, S.C., Joyce Bloodsworth (Clyde), Chancellor; two brothers, Jerry Lawhorn (Judy), Chancellor, Mickey German (Mary Ann), Chancellor; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
