Wallace F. Kimes, 73, of 3190 Beechwood Ave., N. E. died yesterday at 1:45 p.m. at the Alliance City Hospital following six weeks illness.

The son of the late Frank and Lucy Barber Kimes, he was born in North Benton, Oct. 19, 1897 and resided in this area for the last two years after coming from California.

He retired in 1965 from the Show House Co. in California.

He was a veteran of World War I, having served with the U. S. Army and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 1036.

His wife, Myrtle (nee Tarr), preceded him in death in 1945.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen R. (Mrs. William) Tanner with whom he made his home and Grace Summer of Santa Clara, Calif.; a brother, Bruhell of Minerva; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Puffer of Ravenna and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
