Doris E. Mullenhour, 80, died at 8:40 a.m. May 13, 2008, at VanCrest Health Care Center, Delphos.

She was born March 31, 1928, in East Liverpool to Carl and Agnes Reinemeyer Ditto, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 3, 1945, she married Henry Metzger, who preceded her in death. On March 27, 1976, she married Woodrow Mullenhour, who also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Mullenhour had worked at St. Mary's Food for 15 years and had been head cook at the Line-Up Restaurant for nine years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 471 and the Delphos Senior Citizens, both in Delphos. She was a life member of the American Motorcycle Association, the Continental Motorcycle Club, the Northwest Motorcycle Association and districts 12, 15 and 14 of the American Motorcycle Association. She was also a member of the Delphos Coon & Sportsman Club. She loved her family and was an avid bingo player and motorcycle enthusiast.

Survivors include five sons, David Metzger, of Coldwater, Dale Metzger and Kenny Metzger, both of Delphos, Carl (Mary) Metzger, of Maria Stein, and Marvin Mullenhour, of Texas; two daughters, Linda (Richard) Johnson, of Cloverdale, and Ruth Keller, of Lima; two sisters, Glenna Kelly, of Holgate, and Marcia (Kenny) Miehls, of Delphos; a brother, Jim (Ruth) Ditto, of Delphos; and 36 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel and Joseph Metzger; three brothers, Donald, Dennis and Francis Ditto; and a daughter, Nona Jones.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. Father Melvin Verhoff will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Mennonite Cemetery, Elida.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
