Funeral services for Roy Rosamond, 79, of West will be held July 23 at 2 p.m. at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New Salem Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 22, 5-8 p.m.
Rosamond, who was a farmer and in the logging business, died July 20, 2009 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Danny Rosamond of West; two brothers, Addison Rosamond of West, Leland Rosamond of Kosciusko; three grandchildren, Tonya Kelley, Daniel (Shea) Rosamond, Rachel (Chuck) Sisson; four great-grandchildren, Clint Sisson, Gabbie Kelley, Emmagail Kelley, Graycee Layne Rosamond.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ouida Rosmond; son, Sammy Lamar Rosamond; brothers, Delmas, Arvis, and Raymond Rosamond; sister, Dorothy Thornton.
Rev. Donald Self and Rev. James Greer officiated.
Pallbearers were Michael Rosamond, Jeffrey Rosamond, Sammy Westbrook, Dale Elmore, David Rosamond, Royce Rosamond, Jerry Dale Rosamond and Bruce Rosamond.
Honorary pallbearers were remaining nephews and great-nephews.
