Charles Newton "Newt" Galloway, 92, Hernando, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, in Hernando.
Born Nov. 8, 1911, in Elwood, Ind., to Johnathan Roy and Mary Galloway, he moved here in 1973 from South Miami.
Mr. Galloway was maintenance supervisor for a wholesale bakery.
He enjoyed gardening.
He was Protestant.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Olive Galloway of Hernando; two sons, Charles Galloway (Kay) of Sacramento, Calif., and Fred Galloway (Lynne) of Waynesville, N.C.; one daughter, Linda Bitzel (Bill) of Thomasville, Ga.; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
