John Adair married Miss Jane Jones in 1783, his cousin (her mother was an Adair)

~Joseph Alexander Adair, B: 1784 in Laurens Co, SC.
~Cap Hiram Adair, B: 1788. Lived many years in Upson Co., GA. He was a soldier with General Jackson in Indian wars, also in battle of new Orleans in 1815. He died in Upson CO., GA age 84.
~Elizabeth Adair, Married Miles Garret.
~William Adair, B: about 1792
~Mary Adair married John Apperson.
~Farmer Adair,father of Captain James Adair. Ticket agent at the Union Depot, Atlanta
~Susan Adair married Mr Ethridge and lived near Demopolis, AL.
~Sallie Adair
~James Adair, father of Hon. A D Adair and Green B Adair of Atlanta.
~Joel Hayden Adair, While at school, in his teens, the teacher thought to punish him by knocking his head against the wall, but the blow was too heavy, it killed him.

Inscription
Hand carved: "RIP John Adar September The 28 1812" [note: the S is backwards]. This memorial may be a duplicate since the spelling is Adair on an added second headstone. I created the memorial in case anyone is searching using the spelling that appears on the original stone.
