James Spikes - Brother of L. M. and Erastus Spikes, died of heart failure at the supper table last Sunday night at the residence of his brother Erastus in Ward Six.
James was a cripple and a great sufferer. His remains were laid to rest in Sardis grave yard on Monday in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends who realize that their loss is his eternal gain.
