Emily and Selden Hall were married 23 Apr 1828 Lorain Co., OH. She does not appear on the 1870 US Census and assumed deceased by then as Selden is with a new wife Jane (Griggs Whitlock) born 1813 in NJ. 1880 census has Jane Hall born 1813 NJ with sister Ellen Fox and niece Jennie Whitlock.

After Emily's death of cancer, her husband Selden Hall married Jane Griggs (Whitlock) Smith, former wife of Emily's brother Roswell Smith on Apr 29, 1868 . Roswell Smith married Jane G. Whitlock on Nov 7, 1827 in Lorain County, OH. Roswell died 26 Oct 1866.
