"Mrs. Levi Steffy Hahnstown"
"Amanda Steffy (Beck), 59, wife of Levi Steffy, died Monday in her home, Hahnstown, Ephrata R3, after an illness of one year. She was a daughter of the late Daniel and Annie (Earing) Beck.
She was a member of Bergstrasse Lutheran church. Surviving are her husband, these children; William B. Reich, at home Annie, wife of Henry Muckel, Red Run; David B Reich, Reamstown; John B. Steffy , Binghamton, N.Y. ; Edna, wife of Paul Steinmetz, Lititz, R1; Reuben B. Steffy, Lititz, R4; Pvt. James B Steffy, stationed at Camp Polk, La.; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters; Lizzie, wife of Harry Groves of Napierville, Pa.; John Beck and Mrs. Lillie Sweigart, both of Hahnstown; Jacob Beck, of near Elverson. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in the Mellinger Funeral Home, Denver, the Rev. A.W. Leibensperger officiating. Burial will be made in Muddy Creek cemetery."
