George's father Nathaniel Hale b. 21 Oct. 1743 originally from Newbury, Ma. moved to Falmouth and Married Mary Lawrence dau. of Joshua Lawrence and Sarah (Pollow) Lawrence of Falmouth, Me.
Descended from Thomas mem# 49089333 and Thomasine (Dowsett)Hale who arrived by Ship from Watton at Stone, Hertfordshire, England to Mass Bay Colony in 1637 and to Newbury, Ma where they are founders of the Newbury Plantation under Governor Winthrop. Hales married into many of the Newbury Founders.
