Funeral services for Wayne D. Bower of 1420 Evans, will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday from Chancy-Walters Funeral Home, the Rev. Robert Morgan officiating.
Military graveside rites by Sterling American Legion Post No. 20 and burial will follow in Riverside cemetery.
Mr. Bower, 56, died Tuesday,Oct. 27, 1987 at Sterling.
He was born April 22, 1931 in Sterling, the son of Charles and Jessie Brown Bower and attended Atwood schools. In 1946 he went to work for Dave Hamil until joining the U.S. Marine Corps in April 1952. He was discharged from the Marine Corps in May 1954 and went to work for Whitlock Truck Service until 1957 when he went to work for Ray Smith Motor Co., as a mechanic, then service manager until 1983. He recent employment was with the Big Wheel Conoco.
He married Cora Lou McKee,Feb. 15, 1958 in Atwood.
Mr. Bower was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, and a volunteer fireman with the Sterling Fire Department for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Cora Lou Bower of Sterling; a daughter,Lavonne Fehringer; a son, Raymond Bower; and three grandchildren, Nicole Fehringer, Chad Fehringer, and
Joshua Fehringer, all of Ft. Collins.
