Betty Laura "Top-Water" Barentine, age 86, of Glenwood, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021.
She was born on December 1, 1935, in Glenwood, the daughter of Henry H. Adams and Beulah Bell Brown Adams. On June 4, 1954, she was married to Kenneth F. Barentine who preceded her in death on February 28, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Betty was a certified nursing assistant and homemaker. She was a member of Community Fellowship Church in Glenwood. Betty was a strong woman who loved her family and adored her dog, Wicket. She was loved and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her ten children and their spouses, Terry Finney of Glenwood, David and Renee Barentine of Hot Springs, Don Barentine of Glenwood, Lynn and Greg Peace of Glenwood, Trudy and Roger Carter of Glenwood, Todd Barentine of Glenwood, Rena and Craig Poirier of Glenwood, James Barentine of Glenwood and Amber and Terry Ramsey of Lebanon, Tennessee; two nephews, Pat Watkins and Larry Adams; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, December 6, 2021, in the Bear Creek Cemetery with Bro. Scott Vaughn officiating.
