Mrs Oscar Lambert died Monday night in local hospital
Mrs Blanche Enevillee Owens Lambert widow of Oscar Lambert Sr died at the Georgetown County Memorial Hospital Monday night after several years of ill health and a critical illness of four weeks.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning in the Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating were Elders Carl Clemons and Hiber Tolbert. Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery Annex.
Mrs Lambert daughter of the late Julius J Owens and the late Mrs Ella McDowell Owens was born at Myrtle Beach on April 19 1906. As a young child she moved to Georgetown and had made her home here since that time.
Survivors include a son Oscar Lambert Jr of Georgetown two daughters Mrs Clarence Martin and Mrs Stafford Gibson both of Georgetown seven grandchildren three sisters Mrs Robert V Lewis of Lake Charles La Mrs Beulah Allen of Chesapeake Va, and Mrs Gordon Hicks of Fortuna California; and several nieces and nephews.
