Mary Margaret Howard Hanna died at the home of her son in the Maryville section of Georgetown Thursday. She had been in ill health for several months.
Mrs. Hanna was born in Georgetown County May 25, 1883, and was a daughter of the late Daniel Howard and the late Mrs. Mary Ann Creel Howard. She had spent her entire life in this area. Mrs. Hanna and her husband would have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary September 2, 1962. She was a charter member of the Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church and was the oldest member of the church.
She had made her home with her son Troy Hanna of Georgetown.
Surviving are her husband Theodore B. Hanna of Georgetown; a daughter Mrs. Norman Bennet of Columbia; two sons Troy Hanna and Floyd B. Hanna both of Georgetown; six grandchildren; two brothers A. T. Howard and J. B. Howard both of Georgetown two sisters Mrs. Essie Cribb of Andrews and Mrs. Anna Tanner of Georgetown and several nieces and nephews.
