On April 7, 1942 Naudine married Doyle Charles Howell. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Doyle was born in Smithfield, Utah, to Charles Reuben and Verna Marie Hansen Howell. He attended local schools and graduated from North Cache High School. On August 22, 1940, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps; and in the next five years he saw most of the United States and several foreign countries.
Doyle served 2 years overseas during WWII in England, Africa and Italy. He was promoted to Master Sergeant and crew chief on B-17 bombers. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Service Defense Medal, European, African, and Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, a Presidential Unit Citation with Oak Leaf Cluster, and a Distinguished Unit Badge with Oak Leaf Cluster.
After an honorable discharge under demobilization, Doyle and Naudine made their home in Providence, Utah. Doyle worked as a respected auto mechanic at Pack Motor, Hansen Motor, Cook Transportation and Davis Chrysler Dodge in Logan.
In 1961, they achieved their dream of building a home in Millville. Doyle was employed as a mechanic for Cook Transportation and Chrysler Dodge until his retirement. Naudine was active in the LDS Church auxiliary organizations, including a term as Relief Society President. After her family was grown, she worked in a craft shop. Doyle and Naudine enjoy church work, traveling and visiting their family.
They are the parents of: Clinton (Dixie Lou Iverson), Susan (Eugene Bouchier), John (Paula Campbell), Bradley (Kristine Maughan), Wayne (Maria Rossi), Wendell (Vesta La Vona Moore), Melanie (Clinton Kay Conder) and Ruth (Kurt Erickson).
