OGLESBEE Funeral services for Sibbie Lucille Oglesbee, age 84 of Newcastle, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 18, 2002, at the Newcastle First Baptist Church. Rev. Bill Gentry, pastor, will officiate. Rev. A. C. Ezzell of Pauls Valley will assist. Interment will be in the Blanchard Cemetery under direction of the Binyon Funeral Home of Blanchard. She was born the daughter of Rhoda Berry Ezzell and John Craig Ezzell on January 9, 1918, at Ringling, Oklahoma. Sibbie died Thursday, March 14, 2002, at her home in Newcastle. Sibbie married Horace Edward Oglesbee on March 31, 1937, at Graham, Oklahoma. To this union eight children were born. She graduated from Fox High School. The Oglesbees lived in Oklahoma City from 1953 until 1972 when they moved to Foster. They moved to Newcastle in 1980. Sibbie was a member of the First Baptist Church. Sibbie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Larry Oglesbee. Her husband, Horace Edward Oglesbee, died on February 20, 1999. Survivors include daughter and son in-law, Virginia and Lewis Johnston of Mustang, daughter, Beverly Ann Hughes of Plano, Texas, son and daughter-in-law, John and Jackie Oglesbee of Flower Mound, Texas, daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Ronnie Wilson of Keller, Texas, daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Bill Darvin of Oklahoma City, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Judy Oglesbee of Tuttle, son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Debra Oglesbee of Garland, Texas; niece that she thought of as a sister, Estelle Taylor, Elmore City; twenty grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren. Our beloved mother and friend will be remembered in our hearts for the gentle, kind, and loving spirit that she was. A devoted wife and mother, her memory will endure forever to those who loved, and will miss her so much! Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Newcastle for the Lottie Moon Offering or Annie Armstrong Missionary Fund or to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Cancer Research.
