Mrs. Caroline Jane (Callie) Dysard of Ennisville, Huntingdon R.D. 2, passed away in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital on Saturday, September 8, 1956, at 5 a.m. She had been in failing health for a year and had been a hospital patient for one week. The deceased was born in Westmoreland County on April 26, 1873, a daughter of Christian and Margaret (Geeting) Ankney. She was twice married. On January 28, 1891, She married George G. Gogley (Cogley), who died on December 12, 1900. She then married Samuel Edward Dysard on February 12, 1902, and he survives. She was a member of the Ennisville Methodist Church and the Women's Society of Christian Service. She was a public school teacher in Westmoreland County prior to her marriage. She lived in Henderson Township for a number of years and was a school director there. She was also a member of the county GOP committee for about 10 years. In addition to her husband she is survived by four sons and six daughters; Clyde Gogley, Wilbur Dysard, Isabel (Mrs. Cecil Jackson), Georgia (Mrs. James Jackson), all of Huntingdon, R.D. 2, Samuel Dysard of New Castle, Benjamin Dysard of Clearfield, Ruth (Mrs. William Hammers), Florence (Mrs. Carl Crownover), of Huntingdon, Melda (Mrs. James Crownover), of Huntingdon and Lillian (Mrs. Raymond McCool) of Clearfield. One daughter, Mrs. Elwood (Blanche) Sneath, died in 1919. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and these two brothers and two sisters: Charles Ankney of Ligonier, William Ankney of Huntingdon and Mrs. Melda Crownover and Mrs. Zula Cose of Homer City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 at the Dysard home in Ennisville. The Rev. John F. Winkelblech and the Rev. Charles Cisney will officiate and interment will be made in the Goodman Cemetery in Henderson Township. Friends will be received at Green's funeral home in Huntingdon after 4 p.m. Sunday and at the Dysard home on Monday from noon until the hour for the service.
