Mrs. Tompkins was the daughter of Paschal N. Gibbs and was a native of Bedford County VA.
She is survived by two sons, Professor C. W. Tompkins, principal of Lovingston High School, and Clarence Tompkins of the Crozet Pharmacy, and a step-daughter, Mrs. M. A. Hartigan, Jr. of Norfolk. She also leaves three brothers, Walter, John and George Gibbs, and three sisters, Mrs. A. F. Olgestreet, Mrs. George Buttoughs and Miss Ida Gibbs. - Times Dispatch-
