11/24/1929 Pioneer Cattleman Buried at Durant (Sunday)
Durant, Nov. 23 – James M. Ballew, 83 years old, who died at Honey Grove, Texas, Thursday, was buried in Highland cemetery here Friday. Ballew was a pioneer cattleman here, having come to Indian Territory from Georgia in 1894. He left here 10 years ago to make his home in St. Petersburg, Fla., but returned here a year ago. Since then he has been in bad health.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and one son.
