His wife, Cora Wait Robinson's obit in the Centralia, Nemaha County, Kansas Journal, June 22, 1917, contains the following information:

They were married in September 1885 in Centralia, where they lived one year, then a year near Irving, Kansas where he taught school. He entered the U.S. Revenue Marine service and they were located at New Bedford, Massachusetts, and Erie, Pennsylvania, one year at each place. He was then transferred to the Pacific coast with headquarters at Port Townsend, Washington, where they lived about a year.

Lieutenant Robinson was drowned at Icy, Bay, Alaska June 7, 1891. Cora Robinson retured to Centralia, Kansas to make her home with her mother until her death in 1917.

Leonidas L. Robinson was married to Cora L. Wait in September of 1885 in Kansas. They lived one year in Centralia, Kansas and one year near Irving, Kansas, where he taught school. He then entered the U. S. Revenue Marine service and they were located at New Bedford, Mass., and Erie, Penn., one year in each place. He was then transferred to the Pacific coast with headquarters at Port Townsend, Washington. They lived there about one year. Lieutenant Robinson was attached to the revenue cutter Bear, which, during the year 1891, carried a party to Alaska, for the purpose of making explorations on Mount St. Elias. Acting under orders from superior officers Lieutenant Robinson attempted to make a landing in a small boat and in the attempt was drowned at Icy Bay, Alaska along with six or seven others, in heavy surf, which capsized the boat. A bill was passed in Congress April 6, 1898 which made it possible for his widow, Cora L. Robinson, to collect a pension.
