BURIAL WEDNESDAY
Mrs. Ann Catherine Scholl, eight-seven years old, one of the first residents of Lansdale, and wife of Seth Scholl, the originator of one the first industries in this section, the Scholl Brick Company, some sixty years ago. Mrs. Scholl passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.J. Brown, Philadelphia, Saturday. Stroke cause of death.
Cheerful and optimistic to the end, Mrs. Scholl had a reputation of good humor and a lovable disposition. She was born in Blue Bell, May 30, 1842. After marrying Mr. Scholl the couple remove Lansdale. Their first residence was at 142 South Broad Street.
After he husband died eighteen years ago she went to live with her daughter in Philadelphia. Although she came to visit her old friends in this section from time to time she continued to live in the city until her death. She visited at the home of Joseph Rodgers, 114 South Broad Street, Lansdale, about six weeks ago.
She is survived by three children, Mrs. J.J. Brown, Philadelphia; Mrs. Frederick Guenther, Philadelphia; and Benjamin Scholl, 430 Columbia Avenue, Lansdale, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at two o'clock.
