Leila M. Tinsley died in Spartanburg General Hospital at 2 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 1965, following a brief illness. Daughter of Roland and Annie Smith Miller and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Survivors included: three daughters, Mrs. Hubert Blackwell, Miss Thursza Tinsley and Mrs. Ethel Syphritt; three sons, Peyton, George and John Tinsley; three sisters, Miss Minnie Miller, Mrs. Bessie Alverson and Mrs. Carrie Waters; one brother, John Miller; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
