Gary "Robbie" W. Robb, Jr., a resident of Hainesville, IL, passed away Monday, January 17, 2005 at his home at the age of 42, after battling brain cancer for 31/2 years.

He was born April 16, 1962 in Kansas City, MO to Dorothy and the late Gary W. Robb, Sr. Robbie was a well-loved sixth grade teacher at Highcrest Middle School in Wilmette, IL. Robbie was a 1980 graduate for Raytown South High School. Over the years, Robbie shared his passion for education, space, science, and film through his classroom and as a part time faculty member at Columbia College Chicago.

Robbie is survived by Melissa, his wife of 18 years, his mother Dorothy J. Robb, his sister Kathey (Rick) Williams, and his brother Dan (Angela) Robb. Also surviving are nieces Erin and Michelle and nephews by marriage, Ricky, Robbie and Riley.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Raytown Christian Church, Raytown, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Brian Tumor Research Fund at Evanston Hospital, c/o Dr. Nicholas Vick 847-223-8122 or to the family for medical expenses. (Arr.: Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home 816-9422004)
