Eric J. Stanley, 44, died the morning of July 15, 2009, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 13, 1964, in Lima to Jerry J. and Lynda Lou Estes Stanley, who preceded him in death. On June 11, 1994, he married Lucinda Sue Collins, who survives.
Mr. Stanley was a machinist at Teledyne/Ohio Steel for two years and at Superior Forge & Steel Corp. for more than 16 years. He was a member of Spyder's Boxing Club and was a Toledo Golden Gloves champion. He enjoyed spending time with his children, family and friends. He was most proud of his garden the summer.
Survivors also include three children, Arron Michael Stanley, Nathan Jay Stanley and Jaylin Marie Stanley, all at home; two sisters, Paige Elizabeth (Michael) Reinsel and Shannon L. (Robert) Berry, both of Lima; a nephew, Aaron Michael Reinsel; two nieces, Hannah Elizabeth Reinsel and Janay Nicole Sherard; and his mother-in-law, Linda Sue Collins.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James Arthur Collins.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. Pastor John Johnstone will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
