CLINTON - Roland H. Higgins, 77, of 7938 E. County Road P, Clinton, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 1994, in his home.
He was born in Turtle Twp. May 2, 1917, the son of Thomas and Gertrude Weber Higgins. He married Marion Larson, June 8, 1946, in the Jefferson Presbyterian Church. He was a Clinton area resident all his life and was a member of Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church. He farmed for many years and also drove a fuel truck for Clinton Co-op. He was a member of the Rock County 4-H Alumni, the Clinton Historical Society and the Rock County Historical Society.
Surviving are his wife, Marion; two sons, Ronald and Gerald, both of Clinton; twin daughters, Marilyn (Dale) Peterson nas Maureen (Steven) Shull, both of Clinton; two grandsons, Joshua and Mark Shull; a brother, Wesley (Alvera) Higgins of Clinton; a sister, Jean (Phil) Johnson of Clinton; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Dorothy Lentz.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, 1994, in the Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the East Jefferson Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesaday in the Schoenfeld Funeral Home, Clinton. Memorials may be made to the Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church or Janesville Hospice.
