Lilas Maurine Green Cox Ferris, 84, our loving mom, grandma, and sister, passed away July 12, 2005.

She was born November 12, 1920 in Huntington, Emery County, Utah to Charles Robert and Blanche Jones Green.

She married Mostyn J. Cox Sr. in Manti, Utah on June 11, 1939; later divorced.

Lilas married Melvin Ferris in Salt Lake City, Utah and he preceded her in death.

Lilas enjoyed multiple talents including singing and drama.

She excelled academically and was and excellent home maker.

Her home was a place of beauty; she loved cooking, sewing and baking.

Her children were the love of her life.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many positions in music, Primary and Relief Society.

Other hobbies included travel which she enjoyed very much.

Survivors: son, Mostyn J. Cox Jr.; daughter, Maureen Fuelling (Lynn); five grandchildren seven great grandchildren; brothers, Regnald Green (Evelyn), Sandy; Dennis Green (Betty), Aztec, NM; sister, Emma Prince (Ken), Sandy.

Preceded in death by sisters, Wilma Hansen and Edna Buckholdt.

Funeral services Saturday, July 16, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Midvalley Fifth Ward, 1211 East 7800 South, Midvale, Utah.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
