George "Hogeye" Adams Jr., 80, of Blackey passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Jr. was the son of the late George M. and Sally Banks Adams. Surviving are his wife: Alice Stacy Adams; 4 sons: Lonnie Adams, Deeb Adams, Pig-Eye, and Gary Adams all of Blackey; 4 daughters: Joy Back, Darlene Spears, Lavvona Dixon, and Madge Caudill all of Blackey; 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the Letcher Independent Baptist Church with Bill Jones officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the Letcher Independent Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery at Blackey, Kentucky
