Carroll Hopkins Succumbs At 71
Mathews - Carroll Winter Hopkins Sr., 71, of Shadow, died Sunday at his home after a long illness.
He was a member of Park Place Baptist Church in Norfolk.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edna Hopkins; a son, Carroll W. Hopkins Jr. of Norfolk; three brothers, W. H. Hopkins of Norfolk, Dr. J. B. Hopkins of Washington, D.C., and R. H. Hopkins of New Bern, N.C. and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home in Mathews. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery at Susan.
