Son of Johannes Peter Belts. His Christian name has been found documented written Andrea and Andrew. The surname has also been documented written Beltz. It is not uncommon to find an "s" and "Z" changed and used in the surnames.

Andreas Belts marriage has been documented as Herchelroth--Juliana, daughter of Johanna Herchelroth, deceased, and Andreas Beltz, son of Peter Beltz; April 4, 1763. Easter Monday, on the Middle Creek. From the recordings on page 227, Rev. John Waldschmidt --1752-1786.

He is on the Personal Property Tax Lists from 1782-1800. He may be on earlier lists. In 1800 Andrew Belts came to Bedford County, Pennsylvania with his son-in-law Ludwig Dreher aka Lewis Turner. There are two churches at the cemetery. If you walk to the left side of the old church, and go back about 10 rows you will find Andreas Belts/Beltz and his wife headstones. There were funds contributed to reset several of the headstones falling in disrepair over time in the cemetery. Juliana and her husbands headstones among many other old headstones in the cemetery were reset up straight in the cemetery.

The headstones for Andrew Belts and Julian Belts, are located midway back in the old section on the left side of the Twin Church Cemetery, Colerain Twp. Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
