Hannah was a daughter of Capt. Richard Cooper & Hannah Sampson.

She was married on 8 Oct 1780 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts by Rev. Chandler Robbins, to George Sampson.

They had 9 children: Zabdiel; George; Marston; John; Alvan; Joseph; Schuyler; Hannah; and Caroline Sampson.

Mrs. Hannah Smpson, the Mother, died at her son Schuyler Sampson's in Plymouth, Sept. 4, 1836, about 11 o'clock, P.M. aged 75 years, 2 months and 3 days.- She was buried in Plympton Sept. 7, 1836, on the south side of and next to her husbands grave. She was a member of the Church in Plympton and was a pious woman.
