He was first married to Harriet Margery Kennedy, daughter of Samuel Kennedy and Anna Reed. She died in Missouri in 1875. He then married his wife's cousin, Rebecca Hayes Kennedy, daughter of William Kennedy and Rachel Chapman∼Son of James Moore II cofounder of Bucknell University. William married Rebecca Hayes Kennedy sept 20, 1876. 2nd marriage. 1st marriage was to Harriet Marjory Kennedy Rebecca's cousin.
Farmed in St Clair, Mo. After a stroke moved to Newport, Wa to be near children both in Newport and Spokane.
Children of Rebecca and William were William R Moore aka Will, Harry J Moore, Elizabeth Hayes Moore Slagle, James R Moore, Rebecca Gertrude Moore Crenshaw, Paul Sympson Moore, Daniel Talcott Moore....Per Richard Moore Slagle, grandson..entered by Daniel E Slagle great grandson
