Edna Moncur Schmidt, 90, died April 24, 2003 at the Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Logan, Utah.

She was born on December 20, 1912, in Lovell to Robert B. Moncur Jr. and Leona Leithead Moncur. She graduated from Lovell High School. She married Dan Schmidt on July 6, 1935, in Lincoln, Neb. She was employed at the Great Western Sugar Company.

Mrs. Schmidt was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She lived in Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and Nebraska.

Edna is survived by her sister, Geneva Moncur Walker of Logan, Utah; six nieces; three nephews; and a sister-in-law, Lucile Moncur of Provo, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dan; and four brothers, Ferry, Rulon, Marvin and Earl (Casey) Moncur.

Graveside services were held Monday, April 28, 2003, at 3 p.m. in the Lovell Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Allen-Cranney Mortuary of North Logan, Utah.
