Belle was my great grandfather's sister. When their youngest sister Florence passed away leaving two young daughter orphans Belle stepped in and raised them as her own. She lived most of her life in and around Waco. Belle, her husband Joe, my great grandfather Charles with his family would travel through out the south in a covered wagon cooking for harvest workers. At one time Belle worked for WPA, the first telephone company in Waco, and ran a boarding house for the men building Highway 57. Her nieces put it this way "Auntie came to Waco in a covered wagon and lived to see a man walk on the moon." Thought you might want to add some of this to her memorial. Priscilla Brown
