Samuel was the son of John Jr. "Smokin' Johnnie" Parrott and Elizabeth (Hall) Parrott. Samuel married 1) Jemima Emanuel on 7 Nov 1825 in Wilmington, Clinton, OH. They had 12 known children. After Jemima died, Samuel married Mrs. Lucinda (Morgan) English, 2 May 1853, in Davis Co., Iowa. Samuel and Lucinda had 4 known children.
