Mrs. Ruth Addy Passes Away
Funeral services were held October 11 at Mt. Zion Methodist Church for Mrs. Sarah Ruth Addy, who passed away October 10 at Laird Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Addy is survived by her husband, Morris Addy, of Decatur and three sons; James and Jerry Addy of Jackson and Larry Addy of Clinton; she has four grandchildren; her mother and father, Carter Roebuck and the former Winnie Viverette; four brothers; Lance Roebuck of Detroit, Benard of Jackson, Fred and Ronnie of Rt. 2, Union; one sister, Margaret Craig of Detroit, Michigan.
Pall bearers were: Raymond McMullan, Husel Reeves, Cobert Cleveland, James Hamil, Cornet Lewis and Singleton Reeves.
Officiating at the services were the Rev. L. B. Simmons and Rev. Johnnie Mullerax.
Stephens Funeral Home of Union was in charge of arrangements.
