He worked as a barber in Kankakee and Chicago. He also worked for General Foods. He attended Oliver Nazerne College.
He is survived by Wife Nancy nee Rimkus Hanson of Chicago. Sons David (Rhonda) Hanson of FL, Michael Hanson of Zion, IL and Daughter Nancy (Roger) Bowers of Watseka, IL. Five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Brothers Tim, Johnathon and sister Rebecca Wilson.
Preceeded in death by his parents Hartwig and Lena Hanson, daughter Elizabeth Hanson.
He and Nancy loved to travel the world together. In fact, that is how they met. Both were vacationing in the Bahamas. They were married in Hawaii and honeymooned in Bali. They especially loved Europe.
He enjoyed church, canoeing and collecting antiques. He had a great personality and enjoyed life to the fullest everyday. He never met a stranger and smiled often. Many of his customers would come by just to hang out and talk. He loved people and loved the art of conversation. He needed to be around people and enjoyed their company. He will be missed by his family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, customers and just the everyday people he would talk with.
*****I would like to Thank Mrs Christine Dragovich Noe for providing some of this information through her wonderful eulogy.*****
