Ms. Laurie Lovett, 43, of Jasper, Ga., passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008, as the result of a drowning accident along with her fiancée, Greg Zairis, in Panama City Beach, Fla. Ms. Lovett worked in Cherokee County as a Tax Appraiser. The body remained at Cagle Funeral home. Funeral services are to be held today, August 3, at 2 p.m. EDT in the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Graves and Rev. Jerold Young officiating. Interment is at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Survivors are her parents, Curt and Melita Lovett, of Jasper; two daughters, Christina Graves and Lydia Lingerfelt, both of Jasper; one brother, Jonathan Lovett (and wife Dori), of Alpharetta, Ga.; one sister-in-law, Donna Lovett; and nieces, Stephanie and Elle Lovett. Laurie was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Lovett. A trust fund has been established at Crescent Bank in Jasper, Ga., for her two daughters, Christina Graves and Lydia Lingerfelt.
