Mr. Himmelright was born Feb. 27, 1919, at Sumner, Neb., to William and Lettie Himmelright. He moved to the Guthrie-Nary area when he was 1 year old. He married Elizabeth Stone May 7, 1949, at Bemidji. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He lived in Bremerton, Wash., and worked in the shipyards there, then lived in Columbia Falls, Mont., where he worked at Plum Creek Sawmill. He had lived in the Guthrie-Nary area since the 1960s and continued to work in logging.
He is survived by a daughter, Beverly Himmelright of Bemidji; four sons, Doyle (DeAnn), Paul (Norma)Jr., Greg, and Melvin (Sandy), all of Bemidji; seven grandchildren; his mother of Bemidji; and two sisters, Elma (John) Hadrava and Irma Smith of Bemidji.
He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers, Melvin and George.
