Mrs. Himmelright was born May 24, 1897, in Dumner, Neb., the daughter of John and Ida Bush. She was raised and educated there. She married William Heimmelright June 14, 1915, in Kearney, Neb. Following her marriage they remained in Nebraska and in 1920 moved to the Guthrie area where she remained until 1968 when they moved into Bemidji. She was one of the first residents of the Northland Apartments where she lived until April 1987 when she became a resident of the Beltrami Nursing Home. Her husband, William, died in 1970. She was very active in the Kabekona Free Methodist Church and later became involved with the Free Methodist Church when she moved into Bemidji.
She is survived by two sons, Ivan (Lila) Himmelright, of Bemidji and Kenneth (Helen) Himmelright of Eveleth; two daughters, Elma Hadrava of Bemidji and Irma Smith of Bemidji; 32 grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Bush of Rockford, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons, Paul, Melvin, and George; three brothers; three sisters; and a grandson, James.
