Ella M. Kauffman Blank, age 94, formerly of Gap, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at
Landis Homes where she had lived for the last 10 years. She was the wife of the late David K.
Kauffman who passed away on November 29, 1976 and the late Ira L. Blank who passed away
on March 23, 2006. She was born in Gap, daughter of the late Charles C. & Edna Ranck Miller.
She was a member of Limeville United Methodist Church of Gap. She worked in the custodial
department for the Octorara Area School District for 26 years retiring in 1985. Along with her
husband Ira they operated the Village Tourist Home in Intercourse. In the past she was a member
of the Farm Women’s Society #7. She enjoyed going to the mountains.
Surviving are 3 children: Edna Jean wife of the late Carlton Homsher of Ronks, Dennis husband
of Betty Croffroad Kauffman of Kinzers, Mardette wife of Mike Leidy of Gap, 2 step children:
Gladys Wise of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Ronald Blank of Tucson, AZ, 14 grandchildren, 8 step
grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 17 step great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren,
2 brothers: Donald W. Miller of Gap, Rev. William A. husband of Betty Kreider Miller of
Myerstown. She was preceded in death by a son, D. Barry husband of Ann M. Gilgore Kauffman
of Kinzers, 4 brothers: John, Raymond, Robert, and Kenneth Miller.

Funeral service will take place from the Limeville United Methodist Church, 5783 Limeville
Road, Gap, PA on Saturday, May 10th at 11 a.m. with Pastors Daniel Hall & Jake Goertz
officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call at the church on
Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the
