My precious mom, loving grandma, great-grandma, sister, and aunt, Dorothy Evelyn Esmeyer Butterwood, age 76, left this world on November 20, 1998. She died at her home of carbon monoxide poisoning. She fought for so long to get well; now her pain is gone.

Worked for Safeway for almost 25 years. Dorothy was a person who loved people. There was no one in the world she wouldn't help. Even in her death she helped people. I can't tell you how much she will be missed. She was loved by all who knew her.She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Ralph Elmer Butterwood; her dear son, Tom Butterwood; and grandson, Gary Worsfold. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tom and Catherine Butterwood Gray; granddaughter and husband, Christi and Wesley Sharp; three beautiful great-grandchildren: Austin, Caden, and Stetson Sharp, all of Bluffdale; sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Phil Seager; brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Petie Esmeyer, Napa, CA; cousin, Edith, Salt Lake City; and many, many friends.

Mom, I love you; and you will be in my heart and thoughts til we meet again. Good-bye for now, my sweet mom-there will never be another one so great as you.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, 1 p.m., at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South 1700 West. Friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Rd
