Philip D. Hankins, 66, of Rushville, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006 at his home.
Born April 18, 1940 in Milroy, he was the son of Edgar and Charlotte (Harper) Hankins, both deceased.
Mr. Hankins lived in Milroy during his early life and was a Rushville resident most of his life. He had been the owner/operator of Hankins Cabinet Shop since 1958.
Survivors include one son, Bart Hankins of Rushville; one daughter, Tina Dunn of Rushville; one brother, Rick Hankins of Rushville; one sister, Carolyn (Mrs. Kenneth) Foreman of Shelbyville; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Bryan and Chris; one brother, Richard; and one great-grandson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville with Garry Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
