IN MEMORIAM
Matilda Small Russell was born at Bloomington, Indiana, September 13, 1846. early in life she professed her faith in Christ and united with the Reformed Presbyterian church and remained a faithful member until death. On March 19, 1867, she was united in marriage to James F. Curry. To this union were born nine children, six sons and three daughters. Of this number, three sons and one daughter have preceded her to another world—one son on August 23, 1874, another on April 29, 1878, another on September 26, 1887, and the eldest daughter, Frances, on February 15, 1895.
In August, 1870, the family, consisting then of father, mother, and two small children, removed to Kansas and improved a farm one mile south of Winchester. In the spring of 1884, the family moved to Eskridge, Kansas. In the fall of 1885 they returned to Winchester and located on a farm one mile north-east of town. They have made their home in the little city of Winchester since the spring of 1907.
Mrs. Curry passed peacefully away February 18, 1913, near the midnight hour. She has been a faithful mother, an uncomplaining sufferer, and a devoted follower of Christ.
Her husband, two daughters, and three sons remain to mourn the loss of her companionship and counsel.
Funeral services were held in the Reformed Presbyterian church on Friday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. D. Elliott, assisted by Rev. Mustard.
Card of Thanks
