A memorial tribute, appearing in the Associational Minutes in 1923, was written by two minister members of Pleasant Hill Church, Rev. S. B. Brockett and Rev. H. D. Jent:
We the church at Pleasant Hill realize in the death of Elder W. D. Meador that we have lost one of our best members. Bro. Meador loved the church and was a help and strength to the church. He has fought a good fight, kept the faith, finished his work and gone to his reward. We miss him in our homes, in the church, and the Association. Let us try with all our might to live the devoted life he lived, and we shall meet him in glory.
